Highlights: AASM Awards NYEE Sleep Center New Accreditation

NEW YORK, NY (April 2013) -- New York Eye and Ear Infirmary's Sleep Center, a six-room unit serving adult and pediatric patients, has been reaccredited from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).

AASM Accreditation of Sleep Disorders Centers is a voluntary process for the assessment of sleep programs. By achieving accreditation, a sleep center demonstrates a commitment to the provision of quality diagnostic services and the longitudinal management of sleep patients.

More than 9,000 persons have been evaluated in the NYEE Sleep Center since it opened in 2005.

New York Eye and Ear Infirmary Sleep Center medical staff includes: pulmonologists Rochelle Waldman, MD, medical director; Eric Teller, MD; and Boris Sagalovich, MD; and otolaryngologist Gene Ukrainksy, MD.
