Anthony Sclafani, MD

A magna cum laude graduate of Columbia University, Dr. Sclafani received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.  He served an internship in general surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center (where he was awarded the Norman E Stoller, MD Award) and received his residency training at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary, serving as Administrative Chief Resident and being honored with the J. Swift Hanley Research and Resident Teaching Awards.  After a year-long fellowship exclusively devoted to facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at St. Louis University, he returned to New York and has served as Director of Facial Plastic Surgery at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary since 1996.  Dr. Sclafani also serves as a Surgeon Director at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary, and is a Professor of Otolaryngology at New York Medical College.

Dr. Sclafani is an active researcher in the field of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, receiving the Sir Harold Delf Gillies Award and twice receiving the Ira Tresley Award from the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.Dr. Sclafani has lectured at regional, national and international surgical meetings, serves as an editor of facial plastic surgery periodicals and textbooks and is Editor-In-Chief of Facial Plastic Surgery. He has published extensively in the field of facial plastic surgery in such peer-reviewed journals as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, among others.  He has been listed as one of New York Magazine “Best Doctors” every year since 2004.

Dr. Sclafani’s practice focuses on both aesthetic treatments of the face (such as rhinoplasty, face lift, Botox, fat transfer, Selphyl and  injectable fillers such as Restylane, Radiesse and Juvederm) as well as facial reconstruction of congenital defects (such as microtia), after trauma or cancer.  He maintains office locations in lower Manhattan and Westchester as well as at Columbus Circle for his patient’s convenience.
