& Language Pathology Services
Speech and Language Pathology is a specialized service of The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. An integral part of the Voice and Swallowing Institute, as well as thePart of a world-renowned Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery, the speech and language services are provided inCenter is a state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic facility that is committed to functioning at the forefront of speech, language, voice, and dysphagiavocal diagnosis, remediation, and rehabilitation.
People with communication concernsvocal problems will find that our service:
- Offers the latest in current technology for evaluation and remediation of voice, dysphagia, speech and languagecal disorders
- Has a team of dedicated speech-language pathologists, recognized for their specific expertise in dealing with vocal and swallowing problems
We offer Speech/Language Evaluations (English,
Spanish, Russian and Cantonese), and Speech/Language Intervention/Therapy
(English, Spanish, Russian and Cantonese).

Evaluation
Referral & Consultation Services
The New York Eye and
Ear Infirmary's Speech and Language Pathology service offers two special services for
our colleagues in the medical and rehabilitative professions.
Evaluation
Referral
We will be happy to
undertake diagnostic and evaluative workups of patients referred to us by
qualified personnel. We will either perform special tests as specified by
the referral source or we will perform a complete vocal evaluation. In
either case, the results will be promptly forwarded to the referring
professional with appropriate interpretation of data.
Consultation
We can
also bring the expertise of our staff to the assistance of our
professional colleagues by helping with the interpretation of test results
obtained outside of our services.
