Letter from D. McWilliams Kessler, NYEE President

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
OF
THE NEW YORK EYE AND EAR INFIRMARY

On behalf of the distinguished board of directors, physicians, nurses, and staff of
The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary I am pleased to appoint
Lillian Pravda
as Ambassador representing our hospital.
We are thrilled that Lillian has taken the initiative to create the
Vision for and from Children
campaign to benefit children from around the world who come to
New York Eye and Ear for sight-saving medical intervention.

Pediatrics is a major program of The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, representing more than 30 percent of our hospital’s patient population. Lillian, our very special friend, had a vision to start a program to help other children like herself who have eye-related medical challenges.  She began by generously distributing toys in our pediatric department to children undergoing eye surgery. From this experience of interacting with our young patients and their families, Vision for and from Children was created.
The mission of Lillian’s program is to raise funds to assist children who are less fortunate than she by supporting costs related to pediatric eye surgeries,
including supplies and equipment.

We thank Lillian for her remarkable generosity
and thank all of you for helping Lillian achieve success in her endeavors.

D. McWilliams Kessler
President
