
Sansar Sharma, PhD is the Director of Neuroscience and Professor of Cell Biology/Anatomy; Ophthalmology and Neurology at New York Medical College and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Sansar received his PhD in Physiology from University of Edinburgh School of Medicine in Scotland. He did his Postdoctoral research at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. His clinical interests in ENT lie in deciphering the mode of regeneration of recurrent laryngeal nerve in experimental model system with the intent that the outcome will be applicable to human conditions where synkinetic vocal fold movements can be functionally restored.
