An increasing emphasis on accountability has driven our efforts to mold the clinical organization to fit the needs of our patients, while maintaining the educational structure of the standard medical teaching model.
As practice guidelines have become standardized by maturing technologies, we have continued to add additional facets to the program in the form of new surgical courses and forums, use of new diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, and expanded use of computers for teaching and clinical analysis.
The accomplishment of these advances has come in great part from the dedicated efforts and support of the clinical teaching faculty under the direction of the Chiefs of Service and lead by the Department Chairman and Vice Chairman
