Budget-conscious patients seeking the expertise of a teaching hospital may choose to have a cosmetic procedure performed through the hospital’s Postgraduate Cosmetic-Surgery Fellowship program for a very reasonable fee structure. This is an economical alternative to the hospital’s other Affordable Plastic Surgery Program, which offers select procedures at stated “global fees” by Attending Surgeons of the Plastic Surgery Department.
The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary established the very popular Postgraduate Cosmetic Fellowship Program as both a service to the community and offers an additional year of training for plastic surgeons who have completed regular board certification in plastic surgery and who wish to become more expert in all aspects of cosmetic procedures rather than immediately enter private practice.
Patients enrolled in this program are treated as they would be in private offices. They call and make an appointment for consultation in the hospital-based office, after which time they will be operated on by one of our Fellows in Plastic Surgery under the supervision of a Plastic Surgeon in our Department who is an expert in the surgery of that particular region. Follow-up care is also done in the hospital-based office. The surgery itself and the results are comparable what might be expected from any of our private Plastic Surgeons.
With the cooperation of NYEE administration, standard fees been established in the range of $3,000-$4,250 which cover the total cost of surgery, follow up and all hospital costs. Anesthesia may incur a further cost of $500 dependent upon the individual needs of each surgery.

- Nasal plastic primary
- Nasal plastic secondary
- Mini facial plastic
- Short scar and regular facial plastic
- Otoplasty (correction of “bat” ears)
- Skin resurfacing
- Fraxel re:pair laser (the newest skin tightening laser)
- Breast reduction
- Breast implants, gel and saline
- Abdominal plastic (tummy tuck)
- Liposuction
Botox treatments are also available at a fee of $350 per treatment area.
