Welcome to the Department of Plastic Surgery and website of New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. Our staff of Board-Certified Plastic Surgeons provide services for both reconstructive and cosmetic private patients.
We also offer an “Affordable Private Cosmetic Surgery Program.” Many of our staff surgeons in collaboration with New York Eye and Ear Infirmary provide significantly discounted cosmetic surgery as a community service. Our private surgical service is noted for cutting-edge cosmetic operative work by some of the region’s most recognized plastic surgeons.
Additionally, our plastic surgery clinic is one of the most sought-after fellowship training programs for residents who have completed a regular plastic surgery residency and elect to spend a year to learn advanced cosmetic surgical techniques. Patients of this service can have procedures performed by cosmetic surgery fellows under the supervision of a senior board certified surgeon.
We are also pleased to offer a very active, state-of-the-art Microvascular Reconstruction Service for repair following breast cancer procedures. Repair of congenital deformities such as cleft lip and palate is also part of the Departmental work.
With more than 1,500 procedures a year, New York Eye and Ear Infirmary is one of the largest hospital providers of plastic surgery in the New York area. This department is proud to be part of an historical institution that has led clinical advances and research in vision, hearing, speech and the restoration of physical appearance.
