Meet the Operating Room Staff
 
The nurse checks the child's ID band The operating room nurse meets each little patient and once again checks the ID band against the chart. 
   
Parent and child put on surgical caps and booties Parent and child are given the final pieces of OR garb: surgical caps to cover all hair and booties to completely cover shoes or slippers. 
   
You will see your child's surgeon prior to surgery Your child's surgeon will meet you and answer any last minute questions or concerns. You may accompany your child into the Operating Room with the doctor and meet the rest of the surgical team. They will tell you approximately how long the operation is expected to take and when to expect a call to go to the recovery room.
