Parent and child are given the final pieces of OR
garb: surgical caps to cover all hair and booties to completely cover shoes or
slippers.
Your child's surgeon will meet you and answer any last minute questions or concerns. You may accompany your child into the Operating Room with the doctor and meet the rest of the surgical team. They will tell you approximately how long the operation is expected to take and when to expect a call to go to the recovery room.
