Interpretation Services

New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai provides over the phone and in-person interpreter services, 24 hours a day, at no cost to patients. Please speak to your provider to arrange for these services.

Services for Hearing and Visually Impaired Patients

Sign language interpreters, telecommunication devices (TTY), and other auxiliary aids for the deaf/hard of hearing are available through the Language Assistance Program. For more information please call 212-979-4093 between 9 am and 5 pm.

The New York State Patients' Bill of Rights, Patients’ Responsibilities and Notice of Privacy Practices (NOPP) are available in Braille. We also offer pre-admission and discharge papers in large font and/or as an audio recording, as well as additional auxiliary aids for the blind/low vision through the Language Assistance Program.
