Pediatric Ophthalmology / Orthoptics: New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai (NYEE) Department of Pediatric Ophthalmology, Adult Strabismus and Orthoptics has a long tradition of being at the forefront of care for children with a wide range of eye and vision disorders and for patients of any age with ocular motility problems. The department offers the full spectrum of therapeutic options including surgery, glasses, prisms, eye patches, medications, and exercises.
The Pediatric Ophthalmology department also has extensive experience in treating patients with less common conditions such as congenital or developmental cataracts, congenital or developmental glaucoma, pediatric corneal problems, other congenital anomalies of the eyes, developmental anomalies of the visual system, retinopathy of prematurity, ocular infections, tumors and trauma.
