Eye Outpatient Center

The outpatient center of New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai (NYEE) is the place to start when you need to see a doctor for eye injuries and infections. Please call (212) 979-4192 to make an appointment for a routine visit.

If you have a problem that requires immediate medical attention please come to our 24 hour/7 days a week urgent care center; we will evaluate you and provide the necessary medical care.

Please arrive 30 minutes before your appointment time to register for your visit.

Please bring your Medicare, Medicaid and/or insurance cards and identification with you to each visit. All new patients must show identification, preferably picture ID, with proof of address, when you come for your first visit.

If you belong to a managed care plan, a referral from your primary care doctor is necessary. It is your responsibility to obtain the referral, from your doctor, prior to your visit with us and to bring it with you when you come for your appointment. Please have the referral made out to New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai.

After your visit with us, if the doctor tells you to return for a follow up visit, please make the appointment for your next visit at the discharge desk before you leave.
