Cod Liver Supplementation in Children with Upper Respiratory Tract Infection

Principal Investigator: Jay Dolitsky, M.D.

Objective: Encouraged by our pilot study on cod liver and vitamin supplementation in children with otitis media, we are now enrolling pediatric patients at randomized sites using marketed, open-label nutritional supplements to determine whether the daily administration of these supplements will decrease otitis media in young children.

We have initiated a similar pilot study using the same supplementation for children with recurrent sinusitis refractory to prolonged courses of antiobiotics and adenoidectomy.
