Objective: To identify etiologic factors responsible for the changing incidence of tongue cancer in young adults both within the United States and internationally.

Overview: Use of the United States SEER registry has allowed the demonstration of changing incidence of oral cancer over the last twenty years. This investigation has demonstrated that tongue cancer is increasing in individuals born after 1945.
