New York Eye and Ear Infirmary Physician Authors Art History Book on Ophthalmology

Ophthalmologia Optica et Visio in NummisNew York, NY (June 2013) -- Jay Galst, MD, a senior attending surgeon at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, is the primary author of Ophthalmologia: Optica et Visio in Nummis (Ophthalmology, Optics and Vision in Money), an art history and numismatic (study of currency) book about ophthalmology, the visual sciences and the depicition of the eye on coins, medals and tokens. The book exhibits more than 1,700 objects.
