New York, NY (July 2010) -- The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary has once again been named one of "America's Best Hospitals" in its two core specialties by US News & World Report. It is ranked among the nation’s top hospitals for Ophthalmology and Ear-Nose-Throat (Otolaryngology).
“The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary’s recognition in US News & World Report for both of our main areas of care is a tribute and positive reflection on all our expert medical staff and dedicated employees,” said D. McWilliams Kessler, president & CEO. “In addition to our goal of providing the highest quality medical and surgical care, we continually strive to be on the forefront of research and bring patients the latest in scientific discoveries and ever-more effective treatments.”
The survey assesses hospital care in 16 key medical specialties. Only 152 out of 4,852 hospitals surveyed were named to the prestigious Best Hospitals 2010-2011 list.
The entire survey is available on U.S. News & World Report's website.
