SURGERIES AT NYEE BROADCAST TO 100 MILLION VIEWERS  INTERNATIONALLYNEW YORK, NY, (February 2010) -- Several cutting-edge otolaryngology and ophthalmology procedures performed by leading specialists at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary were filmed for the Channel One program, Health («Здоровье») with Elena Malysheva, MD,” the most watched health show on Russian-language television.  Channel One has more than 100 million viewers around the globe, including North America, Australia, Eastern and Western Europe, Africa and the Middle East, as well as Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, whose participating members are the former Soviet republics.

The project was initiated by Daniel I. Branovan, MD, medical director of the NYEE Thyroid Center, and NYEE is the first US hospital to be featured on the Health Show.
