New York Eye and Ear Infirmary Sleep Center Receives Accreditation from American Academy of Sleep Medicine

NYEE Sleep Lab Receives Program AccreditationNEW YORK, NY, (January 2010) -- The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary Sleep Center, a six-room unit serving adult and pediatric patients, has received five-year program accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). 

In awarding the designation, AASM president Dr. Clete Kushida, said: “The Center is a significant resource to the local medical community and will provide academic and scientific value in addition to the highest quality care for patients suffering from sleep disorders.”  More than 6,300 persons have been evaluated in the NYEE Sleep Center since it opened in 2005.

The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary Sleep Center staff includes pulmonologists Rochelle Waldman, MD, medical director, and Boris Sagalovich, MD, and otolaryngologists  Gerald Suh, MD, and Gene Ukrainksy, MD.
