New York, NY (July 2009) -- The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary was once again ranked among the nation's top hospitals in the annual U.S. News and World Report's "America's Best Hospitals" survey.
The survey assesses hospital care in 16 key medical specialties. Just 174 of more than 4,860 hospitals surveyed are named to this prestigious list. Both of New York Eye and Ear’s two main specialties, Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology (Ear-Nose-Throat), are included.
“It is a great honor that The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary continuously receives recognition for its commitment to patient care, medical education, and research,” said D. McWilliams Kessler, president & CEO. “It is also a tribute to the expert medical staff and dedicated employees who together carry forward the hospital’s long tradition of excellence.”
The entire survey is available on U.S. News & World Report's website.
