On Friday, June 19, Sotheby’s is featuring "The Graham Arader Sale," consisting of an outstanding collection of oils on canvas, works on paper and maps relating to the natural world and indigenous peoples from the prestigious Arader Gallery in New York City.
Graham Arader will donate 20% of the hammer price of each of 202 lots to a charity designated by the purchaser. Mr. Arader has graciously chosen New York Eye and Ear as one of the select charities to receive this percentage of sale proceeds upon request by any purchaser.
This beautiful collection is available for pre-auction viewing at Sotheby’s starting Saturday, June 13, continuing through Thursday, June 18. Highlights include prized botanical watercolors by Pierre Joseph Redoute, hand-colored bird engravings by John James Audubon, and atlases, terrestrial and celestial maps from the 16th and 17th centuries.
