On behalf of The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, Joseph Corcoran receives a check from an Octogon representativeThe New York Eye and Ear Infirmary Designated an Official Charity of the Ladies Professional Golf Association's 2004 Sybase Classic Golf Tournament

New York, NY (May 2004) -- Joseph P. Corcoran, president & CEO of The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, accepted a generous $10,000 contribution on behalf of the hospital from Octagon, the firm that co-owns and conducts the 2004 Sybase Classic Presented by Lincoln Mercury. 

The Classic features the stars in women's golf competing for a $1.3 million purse at Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle, NY. During the tournament, The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary provides volunteers, vision and hearing screenings, arranges for physicians-on-call and sponsors the medical/EMT tent which serves the needs of the players, staff, volunteers and spectators. The event will be telecast on ESPN May 22-23.
