The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai (NYEE) Ambulatory Care Service is an internationally recognized center of excellence in the fields of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology. We see approximately 132,000 outpatients a year.
We offer a wide variety of specialty services. Some of the specialties in the otolaryngology services are: head and neck, otology, pediatric otology, and plastics. Some of the specialties in ophthalmology include: cornea, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, retina and uveitis.
New York Eye and Ear Infirmary is the designated Eye Trauma Center for metropolitan New York City. General Eye and ENT services are available to patients on a walk in basis as well as by telephone or web-based appointments. Patients are seen in the specialty clinics and are available for patients upon referral from general services.
The hospital is a teaching institution and is actively involved in research programs. Many of our residents and attendings publish their findings in the prominent journals of their fields. The nursing department offers evidence based practice and research opportunities as well.
