window at The Bendheim Family Retina Center In 2003, The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary opened its new Bendheim Family Retina Center, providing state-of-the-art technology and research facilities, expanded patient care and enhanced professional education. Utilizing cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, physicians in The Bendheim Family Retina Center are able to enhance care for both the growing elderly population and the increasing number of young people who are experiencing severe retinal problems arising from diabetes and other systemic disorders.
All examination rooms within The Bendheim Family Retina Center are outfitted with 17-inch flat-screen monitors, digitally connected to physician offices and other examination rooms. This feature allows the physicians to view images for any case anywhere in the Center.
However, the superb clinical work requires financial support so that critical progress in the prevention and treatment of these insidious diseases can be made. In addition to general donations, commemorative naming opportunities
are available.
