The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary's Facial Paralysis and Rehabilitation CenterFacial Paralysis and Rehabilitation Center at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary has been established to provide multi-disciplinary specialty care for patients affected by facial paralysis and facial nerve-related movement disorders. We offer comprehensive care during acute and chronic stages of facial nerve dysfunction and can provide sub-specialty intervention in the areas of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Neurotology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, and Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation.

The available treatment options include complex solutions such as nerve decompression and facial reanimation utilizing microvascular tissue transfer (gracilis flap). Please refer to the Facial Paralysis Diagnosis & Management section for a detailed account of clinical pathways encountered with facial nerve disorders.
