the Early Intervention Program
Early Intervention is a free program which
evaluates children under three years of age who have a suspected delay,
such as in speech or motor functioning. After the evaluation, the child
may receive therapies to help these delays either in the home or in a
pre-school near home.

How does my
child get to pre-school?
Transportation to the
pre-school is provided for free by Early Intervention.
Can I have my
child evaluated at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary?
Yes. The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary can
provide your child with a free evaluation in Spanish or English. Our
evaluation team includes:
- Bilingual Speech and Language
Pathologists
- Bilingual Special Education Teacher
- Audiologist for Hearing Assessments
- Pediatric Ophthalmologist (eye doctor)
- Social Worker
