Dr. Batta completed her fellowship at the Illinois Eye & Ear Infirmary, at UIC Medical Center in Chicago.  There she trained with experts in the field, learning the most advanced cornea and refractive surgery techniques.  She completed her residency training at the New England Eye Center, part of Tufts Medical Center in Boston, and served as chief resident in her final year there.  She graduated with academic honors from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.

Dr. Batta is a caring and compassionate physician, who strives to improve the quality of life for her patients.  She is also committed to education, and is active in the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary ophthalmology residency program.  She has authored several articles, including research publications and book chapters.  In addition, Dr. Batta has traveled abroad and participated in humanitarian medical work.
