Hyperopia With Astigmatism LASIK FDA Monitored Clinical Trials


Principal Investigator:  Barrie Soloway, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Enrollment Status:  Ongoing

Overview:  Phase III FDA monitored clinical trials of LASIK for farsightedness with astigmatism are underway at the Vision Correction Center of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Patients with hyperopia (farsightedness) and astigmatism who desire an improvement in their vision without glasses can participate in this study.

Eligibility:  Have +1.00 to +6.00 diopters of naturally occurring hyperopia and +1.00 to +4.00 diopters of astigmatism, be at least 35 of age or older, have best correctable vision of at least 20/25 in each eye, have had no prior surgery to their eyes, have good general health.
