To compare the visual field results with nerve fiber layer imaging results obtained from patients with either normal-tension (NTG) or high-tension (HTG) glaucoma. The techniques used are Multifocal visual evoked potential (mfVEP), Conventional visual evoked potentials (cVEP), Achromatic automated perimetry (AAP), Optic nerve head component (ONHC), Optical coherence tomography (OCT3), Scanning laser polarimetry (GDx VCC and ECC) and scanning laser ophthalmoscopy (SLO).
Sixty patients with NTG and 60 with HTG, age =18 years and <80 years, no previous ocular surgery besides uncomplicated cataract extraction and no history of other ocular / neurological disease or hemodynamic crisis will be recruited.
