About
CME
The goal of continuing medical education at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary is to continuously improve patient health care by supporting medical education programs that inform the physician of the most current and advanced levels of medical knowledge, particularly in the fields of ophthalmology, otolaryngology and plastic surgery, thereby enhancing the physician’s expertise and competence to deliver the highest possible level of medical expertise to his/her patients. Through participation in continuing medical education activities, the physician will achieve the following objectives:

- The physician will have a keener awareness of the broader implications of the recent and rapidly changing advances in scientific knowledge.
- The physician will learn new research and practice concepts and be able to reflect these in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Meeting these objectives will be achieved through:
- Live
didactic symposia
- Surgical laboratory courses
- Special endowed lectureships
- Regularly scheduled Grand Rounds lectures
- Observation of live surgery through video
