Dr. Silverman has extensive clinical, academic and research experience in hearing science and audiololgy. She was Associate Professor and Director of Audiology at Marymount Manhattan College before joining the faculty of Hunter College, CUNY, where she is now Professor and Audiology Coordinator. Dr. Silverman began a professional relationship with the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary's Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery in 1994. At the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary, Dr. Silverman is a Co-Principal Investigator of a VA grant on Eustachian-Tube Function and Chronic- Ear Disease. She is also acitively involved in research on measurement of facial-nerve function, auditory and acoustic- immittance characteristics of otosclerosis, and balance assessment.
