Dear Fellow Alumni and Staff,

Greetings from your old friends and colleagues at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary!

As you know, New York Eye and Ear was founded in 1820 as the country’s first specialty hospital, and today we are recognized as a world leader in ophthalmology, otolaryngology, and plastic and reconstructive surgery.  Our distinguished alumni are spread out all over the world, but they have one thing in common—they all trained at one of America’s most prestigious subspecialty training programs.

Wherever you go in the world, you will always remain a member of our New York Eye and Ear family. We want to keep you abreast of everything that’s happening here at your alma mater on 14th Street, therefore, we:

• have premiered “Seen & Heard”, The Official Publication of the NYEEI Alumni Association in December 2010
• have revamped the entire Alumni Section on the hospital’s website
• are updating the Alumni Directory on a continuous basis – if you have not sent in your most recent contact information, please do so
• are encouraging alumni to send in news, accomplishments, and/or ideas for future newsletter issues

Founded more than 60 years ago, The Alumni Association offers you a chance to reconnect with your fellow alumni and to continue your relationship with the Infirmary. If you’re not an active alumnus in the Association, I encourage you to become one—your membership helps the Association achieve its goals and helps you to stay in touch and network with other alumni.
