Raymond J. Dattwyler, MD, Professor of Medicine and Microbiology/Immunology and Chief of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology at New York Medical College, will be providing allergy care as part of The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai’s expansion of its Allergy services.
A graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo Medical College, he did his residency in Internal Medicine at Tuft’s New England Medical Center, and two fellowships in Immunology and Allergy – first at the Mayo Clinic and second at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital. After completion of his second fellowship, he joined the faculty of Harvard Medical School. He was also Chief of Allergy and Immunology at the State University of New York, Stony Brook, Medical Center prior to joining the faculty at New York Medical College.
Dr. Dattwyler is board certified in Internal Medicine, Allergy and Immunology, and Diagnostic Laboratory Immunology. He has authored over a 100 medical publications and is recognized nationally and internationally for his research, teaching and clinical expertise in the treatment of allergic and immunologic diseases. He has been recognized yearly in the Castle-Connolly directories of Top Doctors in New York, and America’s Top Doctors, as well as New York Magazine’s Best Doctors in New York for over 10 years.
