Hello, I am Lillian Pravda and I am 10 years old.

Thank you for visiting my website and taking time to learn more about Vision for and from Children.

I had a cataract when I was born.

My ophthalmologist, Brian Campolattaro, removed it so that I had the best chance of having vision in that eye.

A few years later I had a second surgery to adjust the muscles in my eye. It was at that time when I got an idea to do something for other children who need surgery.

I go to the pediatric surgical unit at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and give out toys to the children to take their minds off of the surgery. I also speak with the parents to let them know that their children will be just fine.

The more time I spend at the hospital the more I learn about children's needs. Recently, I learned that many children in this country and around the world cannot even get the eye care that they need to save or improve their vision.

I created Vision for and from Children to raise money to pay for children's eye surgeries and to buy equipment and supplies for where it is needed.

It is my hope that, together, you and I will help many children to see the world around them.
